Installing new struts

I have just bought new struts for my integra.
My old ones blew out because I didn't put the bump stop back in.
I need to know if I need to put the bump stop (the yellow cone looking thing) back in. Also, how much do I need to cut.

yes, you need the bump stops.. is your car lowerd ? if it is i would suggest cutting about half the bumpstop off
