If you get a traffic ticket in another state, do they send that info to the CA DMV and put it on your record? (Speeding ticket in OR, specifically). I know that when my friend moved from WA to CA, his WA driving record didn't follow him, so I'm guessing that communication between DMVs in different states isn't very good?

Some states communicate with their neighbors, some do not. It's a crapshoot. The bigger issue is whether or not the ticket become a failure to appear, which turns into a warrant. If the warrant is big enough, then you will be booked locally and the state that issued the warrant comes and picks you up in a lovley converted school bus for the ride back with some tasty cheese sandwiches and cheap koolaid served through the cage.

I know two people that got speeding tickets in Arizona and they both had them on their record here, but they were able to do traffic school here to clear it. I hope for your sake that it doesn't show up on your record, tickets suck.
