on late sunday afternoon, I see this Camaro tag-following my car, and rolls up right next to me at a local stoplight. I'm by myself, and I look over to see the driver and his (maybe)girlfriend right through the light tint. I saw wzup and he nods back, givin me a roar of his engine V6/V8 (not sure didnt notice). I smile as the light switches to green and he takes off. Caught me kinda off guard, and I take off right after him. Flying right through the gears he maintains his 3/4 car lead as he weaves to his left-turn lane as I keep going straight. Too bad there were cars in the way, I couldn't throw up the peace sign...
Later on that night I encounter a familiar local racer dude. He drives a really old-school black sleeper GTI w/ exhaust. Some of you from Hayward may know him. He come's up right behind me, and revs. I hear his shit. I cut back to the left lane and take off as he's right up my ass until we stop to a local light and line up. I roll down my window and say wzup and I ask him what engine mods he has. He responds in saying that he has "the works." I say oh shit, roll up my window, and prepare to launch. He does the same. Checkin the cross-light turning red, our light turns green and bam bam, were lighting up the quiet Sunday night! From the get go i get a car on him, then a car and a quarter. To the next spot light we chat some more, asking me if my car was a VTEC and givin me props. I give him props too and told him that he hung well. Then we do it again. Green! This time he gets a jump, as I catch up later on on the top-end. His car was quicker that I thought... took me a while to pass him up. Then I had to make my left turn so I throw up my peace sign and so does he.
Overall, he hung with me well. Pretty good for a car like that. I give him props. Seemed like a cool dude too, dosen't talk shit. IMO I think we need more attitudes like that in the scene. peace out...
