I was just wondering if your still using the same amt. of gas goin 30mph at 2000 rpm's than goin 60mph at 2000 rpm's?

no, more wind resistance at 60 than at 30........

But, if he kept the rpm's at 2000 wouldn't more wind resistance just make him go slower than 60? So he would be using the same amount of gas at that rpm level. I'm not sure.....

prove me wrong: 2000 rpms in first gear would burn as much gas as 2000 rpm in 6th. the crank and internals are moving at the same speed in both gears, therefore burning same amount of gas.
is this correct? not trying to be a wise ass or anthing, this just makes sence.

different engine load at the same RPM puts him at a different place of the fuel map...and in all likelihood, a different amount of fuel.....

You could always buy a miles per gallon meter from Jc Whitney or some place and find out for sure.
