Well, I don't know very much about engines and spent all of yesterday working on the car, we had a new coil, new edelbrok (sp?) intake manifold, new holly 14in filter put on a 327 still runs perfect, my dad's friend and my dad did the woek while I stood back watching, trying to learn. And my dad's friend said the car has close to 300horsepower....just wanted to know if its true or false? If any more info is needed, just ask.
Thanks
There were 2 327 engines for 65.
The L30 was 250hp/350torque, 9.25:1 compression.
The L74 was 300hp/360torque, 10.5:1 compression.

It's a 67, if you got 65 from an earlier post of mine, sorry about the confusion. So which 327 engine would the 67 have

I believe there was also a 275 hp 327 that year. My buddy in high school had that same car and motor (well, like today it was actually his folks' car then).
The Corvette also had an 11:1 350 hp 327 with a nice hydraulic cam that year. Might have been the same as for the Nova for that or an earlier year.

'67 Impalas only had one 327 choice.
The L30 327.
275 bhp
355 lb-ft
Not much power to move a boat like that. Hence why 396s and 427s were offered.
