Just wondering what was your best car you ever faced in a street race. Doesn't really matter if you won or not. Just the car that you couldn't beleive you had lined up next to you.

Mine would have to be a '93-'96 RX-7. Although I lost badly I couldn't beleive I raced one.

My the best car I have ever faced on the line was a 95 Ford Explorer V6. Since that vehicle actually poses a good challenge to my pimp ride, and most people who drive it dont even thnink about racing, this was my best match. Some dude one day last year Labor Day Weekend in Palm Springs.
I was with my cousins down there, and I got a light on a street parallel to "the strip." Just fuckin around, I revved my shit, and he replied with the same. Soon as the light turned green, we both gunned it. I took him in my first gear, and he just never caught up, but was trailing by like 1 car only. Till the next light, we were both in front again. Deja vu, I raped him this time again. But thats coo. That was a good race for me, cuz it was one of the few wins I have ever had.

i do very well against SOHC non vtec 2 door civics with header, intake, cat backs and some low end work. its a great match to my accord. i know that sounds lame, but they on my level!

hehe...so far I think my best race is was against nemisis' si civic (blue). I think louie drives it but I'm not sure. One night we were doin three way races like over and over. but it was always to fucking close to tell. well it was fun and I'm sure I'll see him out there soon.

Well it wasnt at the streetraces but i lined up with a 99 Lamborgini(not sure if its spelled rite). It was yellow and i was at pomona nov 99 in the IDRC final showdown. It was qualifying so we ran them straight up. Im sad to say I lost but only by a car. My car wasnt running rite because my boost controller wasnt working correct. I only got between 12-15psi instead of the 18psi i set it at. It would have been great to smoke that rich kid who by the way couldnt drive worth shit. He ran a 13.8 @110mph and i ran 14.0@102mph. If my car would have been running rite I would have smoked him, i had previously ran 13.4 @106mph in sac early that year. I know that lamborgini had way more in it, but with that rich kid driving I was hoping to embarres him in front of the thousands of spectators in my old 1990 eclipse gs-t.

mine was when I raced my friend's 3000GT SL. I kept up right up to his front tire. I was suprised.

He use to race each other on the freeway a lot. I'd win then he'd win... It was crazy!

Mine was also at the track. Sacramento Raceway during
Grudgematch, the Corvette Club just happened to go at the
same day, so they were dominating the track. I got there
early, so I was one of the first people in line. After
a few cars ran, I lined up and looked over to my right...
I was hoping that I wouldn't hafta run him, but alas,
the bright yellow Corvette C5 with tons of mods
that everyone was jockin' earlier lined up next to me.

I had a better reaction time, so I was out of the hole
quicker, but the guy launched and pulled a good car length
on me in 1st gear. Then in 2nd, I kept up, but in 3rd,
he pulled another 1/2 car on me, ending the 1/4mile with
a 1 & 1/2 car lead :(

I knew I didn't have a chance against him, but at least
I didn't get smoked by 2 or 3 cars ;)

i forget what track it was at, but i raced a 99 cobra convertible (nemesis guys were there i know for sure) i think kwk flagged us... we lined up and he was laf'n me off like "oh another bitchass 4 banger" well the arms dropped and i got off the line hella quick (as always) and got about 1/2 to 3/4 carlength on him going into 2nd gear... went into third gear and he finally got to my side as i shifted into 4th gear (which is 80mph in my car)... then (obvioiusly) he started pulling hard and hit the flashers after he passed my bumper... the track was extrememly long (2 lanes in each direction, center divide)... but i didn't expect to hang as well as i did...

I was out cruising around when my Skyline was still stock, I think I had it maybe 3 weeks at the time. As I round the corner I see a set of R33 Skyline taillights, the car is white and we are cruising down the road at around 30 kmph as I creep up on him, I start to see that this isn't any ordinary R33. Its a GT-R and not a normal one either, accross the side in 12 inch letters is RS*R and the entire car is marked in the RS*R paint scheme. As I roll up to the door I take a peek over (and wipe the drool off my chin) The interior looks like a disco with all the lights and electronics inside, the driver looks my way and I hear a rev. Being the dumb american I am I rev back. the guy slows down to 20 k's and nods his head. Before I had a chance to put the throttle to the floor the GT-R's twin plate clutch jingles for a second, its engine roars to life and I get a great view of taillights riding off into the sunset. I swear I never made it out of first gear (automatic) before the guy was 100 yards down the road. Lesson learned that night... Don't piss with a sponsored GT-R. They will hand you your ass without even trying, LOL

Mine would have to be Lilghoust on the freeway.
We both stepped on it at at 85mph. at about 130mph he had about a car lead on me. It was hella fun going that fast and being able to see the guy right next to you.

hehehe, mine would have to be a CA18DET 180SXat a set of lights. Didn't really think i had a chance in my stock F22b1 Accord but after glancing over i noticed he had a couple of passengers so i thought, damit i lost before. So i went and surprisingly edgedaway from him, only to notice after my little cheap thrill that a familiar set of quad round tail lights of an R34 GTS-T was had seen me comin up fast and had threw it into gearto make up for my momentum. Not willing to give up my winning adrenlin rush with a demoralising loss, i quickly hightailed via my exit and went home happy. By the way i've sold my car and thinkin of defecting to either nissan skyline R32/33 or toyota supra. Then and only then will i try my hand at the R34.

i was driving home from daytona one weekend and this dude in a yellow itr rolled up on me and revd and said i aint got shit on him, so i looked and laughed and then i kicked his ass by like 2 car lengths and he was like dayam ur shits fast and, we stopped at taco bell and he showed me his motor and i saw the supercharger and then these 2 females rolled in and started jockin us so u know the rest hehe. late im out

It was my first run at SIR, and my first with the new design of intake manifold on the Neon. I lined up next to a stock Saleen S351. I got the better reaction, and 60' and ended up running my best recorded time of 14.26@96.5 He came in a tick later with 14.38@___ My wife took the time slip, and put it in her purse, and then lost it. I could have killed her!!! No doubt the S351 would have whoped me if the driver had any kind of skill.

Right after the car show that Daniel and I put on last year, a bunch of us decided to have a fun run up highway 9 (9 is an extremely windy mountain road for those of you who don't live here. It is a BLAST to drive). The line consisted of Daniel's SS, a WS6, a supercharged Foxbody Mustang, a convertible Mustang with Saleen suspension, My Neon, a Supercharged 99 Mustang and a Stock Cobra. As we were headed through Saratoga, I kept getting laughs and looks from the other cars like "Why is that Neon with us?" I just kind of ignored them and continued following along through Saratoga. As we got to highway 9, everyone fell in the order I listed above and we began our ascent up 9. Unfortunately we were severely hindered by a 70 year old lady who had no idea where he was going, and proceeded to drive along the road at 20mph. After 20 minutes of all of us revving and yelling out the windows, she FINALLY pulled over and let all of us pass. Instantly our little crusie turned into a balls to the wall, king of the hill, Pikes Peak style race. At first everyone pulled on me pretty easily since we were in a straitaway, but as soon as we hit the corners, I reeled everyone in. My first victims were the Saleen suspended mustang and the Foxbody. I sat behind them through 2 corners and noticed that their lines were WAY off, so on the the third corner, I took a late apex through and while staying on the inside of the passing lane stomped on it going into the straight, leaving both the Foxbody and the Saleen behind as they couldn't recover from the corner in time. Now the only cars in front of me were the WS6 and Daniel's SS. Following the same routine I did last time, I watched the WS6 take some corners and saw that he was to intent on trying to shake the little Neon off of his tail and not paying enough attention to the proper line through the turns. We finally came to a turn that had a passing lane in it and I knew this was my chance. As we came up on the turn, I got right up on the WS6's tail as I KNEW he was going to take the inside lane through the turn, so just before getting to the corner, I set my self up to pass the WS6 on the left (the outside of the turn). Just before we got to the corner, the WS6 jumped on the brakes, which pulled me right next to him. Saying a quick prayer to the gods, I waited until the absolute last second, then braked hard while turning in, which caused my rear end to step out a bit. As soon as my rear end started out, I got back on the throttle and divebombed in on the WS6 from the outside of the corner. My trail braking paid off as I was about a car length infront of the WS6 coming out of the corner. (YES!) Now my sites were set on Daniel's SS. After a few more turns Daniel looked back in hia rearview mirror expecting to see a WS6 behind him, but instead got an eyeful of my Neon's front end. He sticks his hand out the T-Top and gives me a thumbs up, to which I just point to him and say "YOU'RE NEXT!" Instantly realizing what I'm planning to do, Daniel buckles down and starts taking some excellent lines. The entire time, I am right on his ass looking for any hint of an error that I can use to my advantage. Unfortunately, it's not happening. He is making his car as wide as possible through the corners, shutting the door on me every time. DAMN. Oh well, I just settle in behind him and we continue to chase each other up the hill until the 4 way stop, where we pull into the parking lot and get out of our cars, laughing our asses off. Since we were so focused on what was goign on between our cars, we had completely forgotten the fact that we had other people following us! About 2 minutes later, the rest of the group rolled in and parked with us.

The best part was as soon as everyone got out of their cars, the WS6, Foxbody and Saleen owners walked up to me, shook my hand and said "I will never EVER make fun of a Neon again! God DAYAM!"

To this day, i must say that ride up highway nine was one of the most fun runs that I have had..DAMN NEONS..loll...do i since another "rematch" after our next car show?

Lexus IS 300 from street start all the way to 133MPH. Closest race I have run to date and won. Still can't believe I managed to stay ahead after 70 MPH since the IS has more HP and Torque. Guess the guy didn't know how to handle high speeds well. Everything esle has been either blow out by me, or ended with me getting my ass kicked :)

i raced my freind in his silvia (american one of course and i dunno wat they call silvia in america but yeh s14 kind) but that shit is quick and the sound of the engine like hella deep. and i also raced an rx-7 either way in both instinces i got smoked. the rx-7 smoked me werse but its all good.

sum japanese dude's audi a4 or s4, it was something 4. We were side by side with each other on 280, and then he looked at me and then floored it. It was fast as hell. We were both going 80, and then he just left me still as if i was standing. I tried to catch up, but 3 seconds later, i gave up. I was really surprised at how fast that audi was, it was like corvette speed or something.

Mine would have to with a twin turbo 300zx. We were running from alamaden & branham onto 85 and then off again at 101. He than got off at shorline. It was pretty even, Though i think i was ahead more than he was. But light to light i beat him everytime. Come to find out he had exhaust, intake, boost control (which was not used) and cams and gears.

I was surprised about it but we were runnin' for days.

I Was on riverside when this Integra pulled up to me at a light w/ muffler japanese writing and everything . I was just fuckin around and took off he down shifted to catch up. @ the next light we both took off I pulled like 1 car leangth right off the line, I heard him downshifting trying to gain on me. I had like two car leangths on him when some 80's corrola cuts me off and I had to swerve around him. It was tight because I thought he would win w/ the mods (my car is still stock :( . But it was fun. HE GOT WHOOPED. :D

i got a just got a 2000 gsr but one night my friend let me drive her dads '97 911 turbo...he was out of town and i was in heaven.. we drove to santa monica (cali) and we chillid at 3rd st.. on our way home coming through the pass on the 405, a ferrari maranello pulls up and throws it into nuetral and starts revin...so im like why not. hell not my car!! so i reved and its like 130 in the morning. we fully stop and then we take off..talk about even.. i think i had the better power-weight ration..we flew to about 150 and we were dead even..it was crazy... my girlfriend was going nuts..the guy quit cuz it was to fast and he just got the car..i got his number and now were on a team together and we chill evernight...that was the greatest night of my lifee.. i drove 155 mi-hr and i got laid..pretty nice

Kills a 993 TT! Overtake it when it was doing 245KM/H++:)We started the race at around 190KM/H++ and the 993 TT was about at least 5 car ahead of me!
A Heavily modified 500HP EVOLUTION 5 RS.That EVO is VERY Quick but got very short gear ratio! around 230KM/h or 235KM/h.It runout of gears already!!
By the way Sin-6. What kind of mods do you have?Are you still in stock turbo or You got a upgraded turbo?like the HKS GT-2835??? What kind of boost you are running?

My best freeway race was with my NOSed Civic vs S/C Miata 880 freeway, hit speeds of over 140mph that day.

My best drag race....Lilghoust vs StockSpyder....it can go either way any day of the week thats why we always run each other =P

nowadays i dont really like others to know what my car have. anywyas i will list only some of them, FconV, EVC, Hiper Exhaust, 272 High-lift Cam, Intercooler, Piping, Twin Plate Clutch, 5.3kg flywheel, Comp 3 Suspension, LSD, 17" Wheels

running 1.0Bar LO, 1.4 HI Boost, and god know what if i press 'scramble':D(dunno whats the psi conversion), the good thing is we have 98 Octane SUL here, so its ok from engine getting knock.

about the 2835(or 2835R even), well, i dont really need 450-550HP, the last 2 things i will mod is Forge piston(for relibility), and a Titanium compressor. then i am done with my V.

I see! you got 272 cams!
Forge piston is a good one. But I suggest forge Rods. that's the weakest parts in the engine for Evo. since you have a pair of 272 cams. And works very hard on your stock turbo!Did you able to upgraded your valves train components like valves springs,and titanium retainers as well?? I belive your evo should have been kicked alot of Ass in HK!!:)
