Well, for those who haven't read my introduction thread, I suggest you read it now because it is a waste of space for me to explain it here. :D

Being a newbie to these threads is a bit intimidating. Honestly, hopefully all of you remember when you first decided you wished to learn the inner workings of racing, engines, etc. Well, I've found these forums to be a great help so far. I have encountered a few problems however.

Just being in the newbies forums, the first thing I noticed were the stickies. Now, I followed up on almost every link and found them to be exetremely useful. Except where I was able to find dead links. That's where I was jus a bit disappointed. I was wondering, (yes, i should have used the inform moderator button but I find that talking to the general public works better) if these links could possibly be updated.

I have a feeling that most of them are no longer on the servers as they have expired or were deleted due to content. But I was looking forward to gaining the information from some of these sites/threads. Below I have listed the missing links:

~ http://www.streetracingonline.com/boards/showthread.php?threadid=13837 (Trying to decide what car to get? Read this:)

~ http://www.sromagazine.com/boards/showthread.php?threadid=31896 (What is the best________?)

~http://www.newagainauto.com/links.html (Every car part link you could imagine)

~http://www.streetracing.org/article/dictionary.php (SRO Dictionary: Is this supposed to head to this link? I would be better suited at www.dictionary.com :D)

~http://www.newagainauto.com/links.html (List of auto part manufacturer websites.)

Just doing the friendly neighborhood thing that I do. If I offend anyone by being so outgoing, consult my lawyer. :D

Peace...

Still gay. :p

The threads that are linked to in the stickies were old, so when Ryan (SRO owner) purged the old messages from the database, they got deleted too. The best place to start learning about cars are the articles on www.howstuffworks.com. Also, if you have cable, check out the 3-4 car shows TNN has on Saturday mornings (Horsepower TV, Trucks!, Car & Driver TV). Even though they deal mainly with domestics, the general principals they cover relate to all makes of cars.

2 guys garage? Never heard of that one. Whatever happened to Shadetree Mechanic? Or did they change shadetree into 2 guys garage?
