2 knobs?

I was waiting for my boss to come do some paper work and I noticed 2 knobs in the 2003 Nissan Xterra (it was supercharged) so I was wondering what these two were for? I was guessing one for a gear shifter (manual) and another for 4 wheel drive? If not, what are they? I've included a pic to help you understand what I mean:

the other is to switch between 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD-LO (and part-time 4WD if it has it)

Right one is the tranny shifter, the small one on the left is the selector for the transfer case (selects 2wd, 4hi, 4low, N).

I got that off cardomain.com
Alot of them come Orange and I just found out there is an option of Rockford Fosgate subs from the factory !!
