Whats the Torque and HP of a MX-6?

What up all..I'm wonderin what the HP and Torque specs are for a stock 1995 Mazda MX-6 LS with the stock 6cyl and turbo..Guessin from lookin at it and from what I heard, I'm guessin somwhere between 175 and 185 hp..A buddy of mine is wantin to sell me his..it's got a 5spd and a leather interior, pretty nice! I just wanted to know how much power the thing actually has..:)

Turbo engines were only on the 1st gens, and a '95 is a 2nd gen.

I also have a 95 MX6 and I belive the stock HP #'s are 168 and torque= ?. Also the other guy was right the turbo's only came on the first gen mx6's the engines were 2.2 liters and SOHC.The same engines were in the first gen Probes,626's also.

Don't go for the MX6...Go for the MX3 trust me...it's a better fit...The MX6 is bigger and slower...cause you can the MX3 V6 Swap engines in...like the KLZE....200HP in a smaller car...Or you can get MX3 4 cyl...and swap in a BPT engine with TURBO..it's lighter and a bit faster than the V6's...it's just depends do you want to go all-engine or induction. check out www.mx-3.com or www.mx-6.com

You can't assume all people have the technicaly savvy to do their own work :hi:

But the KL-08/KL-ZE swap into an MX3 yields decent results. And, as I keep saying, they are two totally different motors when it comes to certain things. Primarily, the COMPRESSION RATIO. Most people prefer to stick with the lower compression ratio 08 and then boost it.

the major thing about the MX3 is personally I think it is ugly. Yeh the MX6 is heavier but I think it looks so mutch better.
