How can you tell your car needs an Alighnment, I know you can drive with out holding your steeling wheel and seeing if it goes straight or not. But is there another way to see if you do,
And what is the correct tire pressure for tires, are they all suppost to be 30-32 psi.

The most effective way to testing your wheel alignment is to test drive it. Also check your car manual and it will tell you what psi your tires should be. It varies on evey car.

If you really want to be anal about alignment hang a plumb bob from your wheel well, or take your car to any alignment place and ask them to check it for you, they will usually do it for free (of course if it is off you will have to sit through a sales pitch consisting of the evils of driving malaligned tires)

Alignment play a crucial parts in handling. Adjusting the alignment to different spec will improve or worsen your handling.

It is always good to go by the manufacturer suggested alignment and adjust it according to the track and driving habit.

For street use, manufacturer suggested numbers are almost the best.

To check for alignment is hard to tell by driving. U have to check for uneven wear of the tires. If u experience uneven tire wear, your alignment is way out of whack. For minor misalignment u would not be able to tell unless u use the proper tool. Drive without holding the steering wheels is a very inaccurate method.

I run my NSX

Front:
Camber: -2 degree
Toe: -0.05" (out)
Caster: 9 degree

Rear:
Camber: -3 degree
Toe: 0.03" (in)

This is very aggresive setup and perfect for my car in the track. Since I drive my car 40% street and 60% track, I got even tire wear all the way across, which will not be the case if I use it only for street use, even if I drive real hard on the street.
