Huge Oil Leak

My car just decided to get a major oil leak ( 1.5 quarts) in about 7 hours. this morning it was fine, then later today it had a huge puddle under it, the leak appears to be coming fromjust above the pan in the front (main going out?) any ways its an 80 celica gt with a 20r. Anyone have any ideas on why it would leak this much oil this fast and sudden it hasnt leaked any fluids since i bought it so it seems strange to me. ill post i pic when i get home tonight but please gimmie any ideas if you have any thanks in advance...

if you look at the top of the pic youll see the power steering pump, it looks pretty wet and i did notice last night that when the car was cold the ps pump was making some noise is it possible that its the ps pump going out on me? any help will do
