Tiburon GT

A friend of mine might be getting a Hyundai Tiburon GT 5 speed. Right now his interest is based mainly on looks and price; we are going to test drive one when I visit next week. Anyway, I just wondered if any Turbo/Supercharger kits were available for this car yet?? I tried searching around a little and couldn't really find anything for the new Tibbies. I think the car looks great (for a Hyundai especially) and it will be interesting to ride in one.

there's pretty much only bolt-ons for it right now, it's not a terribly fast car, I think Hyundai detuned it to give it better reliability. It could probably benefit from a good port job.

'sup? I saw a Tiburon GT with a turbo at the SEMA show. On the bottom of the bumper i think it says "ModernImage.net" maybe you can call them and they can help you find a turbo.... check out the pics in my gallery

I'm not sure about the GT, but I do know that APEX-i fitted the 4-cyl. with a AX53 turbo set up. Check out the new issue of Import Tuner. It features the car on the cover. Below is a pic of the Min Garage Kit exsclusively distributed by Shark Racing (http://www.sharkracing.com). This is the same kit featured on the APEX-i Tiburon.

SCC rated 8 new cars a few months back (the one with the 300ZX on the cover). The Tiburon V6 came in 7th place, with only the Civic Si performing worse. It was surprisingly weak for a V6. After the initial low end power it had NONE at all..

Nope, 3000 miles seperates us. BUT, all my friends are back in the bay area and one of them might still get a Tibby. I visit the bay about once every 7 weeks so we could go by Chris' shop sometime. Damn, I can't wait till I move back :( = :)

i heard the tiburon responds well to basic mods. Like intake and exhaust gets u in the 14s. but who cares about 1/4 mile hehe
