Possibly. If you were redlining it like a mother fucker, then yes, it's possible. There could be dozens of different reasons: Knocking (a sound that occurs in the cylinder when the air/fuel mixture is ignited too soon before the piston is at TDC) Bad timing, an improper inspection or cleaning or maintanence, crankshaft problems, the list could go on. So you just need to see a certified mechanic.
