I heard a rumor that in santa maria that there is a street that is closed off where people are allowed to street race legally, is this true? if so where?

I've heard rumors like this about all kinds of cities. Truth is no city in the world is likely to condone street racing. There's so much time and money involved in just planning a legal racing event that it just isn't worth it or possible to most cities. There's a reason legal tracks are few and far between. I've also heard of street races where the cops just chill and watch, but after the numerous cops who've been sent to jail for that type of neglect it's not likely to happen again.
