Ok here's the situation I got a 84 camaro V6 I belive it's a 2.8 or some crap like that. The camaro is in great shape and body and stuff is emaculate, sorta no rust or anything paint is a little dingy but can be buffed out with a little work. I got a 350 block that I tore down and ready to rebuild. I have no tranny to fit it or anything but then again I just got started with it. Now here's my problem my mom wants to move to an apartment complex from the trailor park we live now. Like every complex there is no place to rebuilt an engine let alot put an engine stand. Not to forget all the trouble I'd get in for taking up more then one parking space for even doing the swap. On top of it all I sorta don't hav the funds to do teh swap let alone a job since they are'nt really hiring any 15yr olds at performance shops becuase of insurance. So my question is should I sell it and go for a AWD turbo DSM or some sort of turbo DSM. Cause I really like turbo cars and what they are capable of. I also think it would be a little bit cheaper on not only gas but to modifly even though it wont give me no where near the amount of torque and HP the 350 would when I'm done. So could any of you guys give me any advice as to what you would do or not do ? And can you give me some up and downs of owning a turbo AWD or just turbo DSM ? I know alot of it is similer to owning any other turbo car I use to own a Turbo Z but had to sell it. So if you guys could help me out it would be great.

keep the camaro and make some friends to help you with the swap, friends are good. I know friends who would help me with a swap without knowing anyone in a shop.

honestly, you're just gonna get tired of the dsm and sell it in like 2 months like every other car you've had. but if you want, i might know someone selling an awd turbo talon.

I'd never get tired of my DSM :D
Seriously, for you r situation, you might be better off trying to make Camaro work with the 350. And it will be cheaper to make faster than a DSM since yo ualready have most of the parts to make it run.

No I do not switch cars every two months....It's every 6 thankyou..lol. I was just simply asking a question man, gosh. Besides I'm still trying to find a place to finish the freaking eninge before I do anything. The DSM is a if all lsle false option

ok, even if u dont have a place to work on the engine, u have a high school, right? almost every high school i know of has an auto shop. i would bring my camaro in there and work on it. it was allowed, cause id let a couple of the guys i trusted help me, so they would in turn be working on cars, which is what they are supposed to be doin anyway. so im happy, they are happy, and the shop teacher is happy. go with the 350 swap. its fairly easy. the 2.8 liter v6 has 140 hp. thats crap. if u can find a truck 350, it will hopefully be a 4 bolt main, which is good for high rpm, ive heard. parts are relatively cheap as well. if u havent noticed, japanese cars are gettin kinda expensive now. hmm, exhaust for jap car= between 100=350 bucks
flowmaster muffler for 85 iroc z=50 bucks a muffler, and 45 for 3" piping

Well we're not moving so I can keep the camaro. I did also however get a REAL 350 though. It's gonna need some serious work but before I do anything I need to get it cleaned. Anyone know where I can take it to get cleaned ?
