How good of a deal is this

My friend said he is selling a 1000wat Modded Alpine Amp and 2 12" MTX subs for 550 bucks comes with a box...is that a good deal?

define modded........i have a 'modded' Memphis ARHC-100 amp sitting in my room at home......the work was done by a couple of my professors.....went from pushing 890wRMS @14.4 to well over 1300........also cleaned up the signal a bit....mostly by using higher tolerance parts though....anyway, if he says it's modded by some guy down the street then no, but if he's got some actual paper work from the place that did it then it might be worth a shot.......
