Rouge Mustang...

Last night I was coming back home and I see this bad ass 99/00 Mustang in front of me. He was kinda chatting with this guy in a Sunfire or something.
Next light is red. I manage to be on his left, and he is still talking to the guy on his right side.
He revs to the guy (that shit was loud), I rev back. Now he knew it was on.
Green light, 1st, he's got a bumper on me, he shifts second, I caught up to him and than shift second.
Side by side, he's third, I (DAMN IT!) miss third...
We slow down for the next light, we open our windows he says that I have some serious shit on my stang, I told him I just got basic stuff (mufflers, k&n) and also said his car was BAD ASS and beautiful.
He said it was a Rouge 4.7.
Light turns green, we both give the thumbs up and we split.

Was so happy I kept with a Rouge Mustang :)

Isn't it a Rousch? I'm not a huge Mustang follower, but aren't most Rousch conversions just aesthetic?

you are more than right... a Rousch mustang...

don't know much about them, but it was really loud (he had at least an X-Pipe) and he said it was a 4.7, so there's gotta be some mods in there...

a 4.7? wtf...... MOST Roushes are purely cosmetic, some do come with mods. ALL of them have a side exhaust system. Dont think ive ever heard of a 4.7 before though

I had a chance to visit a Ford dealership in fremont last week when he was looking at purchasing a mustang.. Saw a couple of V6 Roush's that were modified in some way.. not all comestic however.. basic stuff, intake, exhaust, etc etc..


P.S. Those 50k Saleen drop tops are PIMP! :)

I'm not mustang expert but i'm pretty sure roush has a supercharged stage 3 mustang that started of as a mustang gt.

Roush built some Cobras that had around 450 hp, but it only built in 97-98. Most of the Roush cars had a Vortec (I think) SC that only had 7-9 lbs. of boost. The GT's were all weak, a dude has a '98 that is boosted. It's weak, a stock 5 liter with gears and spray will kill one!

Although they are, for the most part, slow they have to be one of the most handsome cars built today.

first off if the guy said its a 4.7 then he probably cant drive either. And its Roush. anyways theres lots of them and they can be just cosmetic to SuperCharged.

This dosent mean your faster than a Roush. Try not to generalize when you talk about races. I beat a Saleen once but it was a V6. If I came out and said I beat saleens than that would be a little ****y dont you think.

agreed... just don't think it was a supercharged onebecause it would have killed, and it wasn't a 6cil either because i know how a v8 sounds like.. and I never said I can beat any Roush.. peace

i remember getting whooped on big time by 2 2000 mustang GT's at the same time, one was a black supercharged one and it had racing hart C-2 rims on it. and the other one was a gray one... and i also remember beating a 1967 mustang coupe V-8, and some other old school stangs... i dunno if they were V-8s but they sounded like them, the grumble of exhasut and everything. And i think the ZRP stang is pretty cool, kinda like rice meets domestic, but its a nice looking stang.

Roush is mostly a kit type of deal...not really that big on power gains. You could put bolt ons on your ride and get that much, if not more power out of it.

You can order a Saleen ANY way you choose, you could order an SR widebody with the BASF paint and leather with a V-6! When you place the order, you can choose almost any combination of options. Have you seen a hard top covertable Cobra? Bet you haven't, but Saleen built less than 5 examples before killing the hard top option because of poor fit and wind noise.

Just because you haven't seen one, doesn't mean it doesn't exist!!! Example: the '68 "Green Hornet" Paxton supercharged GT-500's

At the Saleen website, it seems like you can only get a 4.6 or a 5.8. Id like to see a pic of a true saleen with a six cylinder. Ive never seen a McLaren F1 but I have no doubt it exists, its just that I have always known Saleens to be V-8s.

saleen never made v6 models, there were plans to build some back in 96 i think it was, but the plans never went thru. The v6 model was going to be supercharged and steve already had the design for the v6 charger, and vortec took that charger settup and thats what they are selling to the v6 guys now.

Roush, on the 99-up models comes with a suspension package, the kit and wheels, and the exhaust settup dosnt flow too good because it makes a big u-turn under the car

one of my friends was telling me about his roommate's Roush stang, and he said it has 320hp. is that true, and which stage would do you guys think he has? i haven't seen it yet, but all our friends talk about it.
