Can anyone tell me how much an LT1 short block weighs? I'm going nuts. I've searched everywhere. I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

I'd guess that the whole engine weighs about 540-550lbs. Dunno about just a shortblock.

shortblock, about 300-325 lbs, I might be wrong, let me look into it, I'll see if I can find the exact to the last 10th of a pound for you ;)
Seriously try to give Kragen Auto a call, they might even have the resources to know the exact weight on any engine available. hope this helps
