Ok, here's the deal....I just bought a short ram intake for my 95 integra. Now, given, i went cheap, because i didn't wanna spend that much money since this was just something for me to have so i can swap and stay dry after i get my cold air intake soon. BUT, given as i did go cheap, even tho i got a nice, pretty, clean, and all that good stuff intake, it didn't come with instructions, and while i think that i could do it myself without any problems, i would REALLY appreciate somebody given me some step by steps, possibly with pics? If you could just tell me what all i need to do, and what all i can take out....i'd REALLY appreciate it, thanx guys, sorry bout the question which i'm sure many of you are slapping your foreheads to at the dumbasity of it, but i just wanna make sure i do it right, thanx!

I could give you some way towards it. I don't have the right analogy to it but here goes nothing. I installed my friends intake to his 95 hatchback last week.
Ok you know where the filter is for the air intake. Its a box i belive for the intregas. Take it out. It should be held together on the bottom part by a clamp. Make sure you unscrew everything. Take out the whole piece. Make sure you unplug the sensor and take it out. Once the whole piece is out. Theres a rubber cylinder attach it the the cylinder. Use the clamps to tightin on the side of the air intake you have plug the sensor part in. Attach the intake tube to the rubber part and tightin. THen make sure everything is on. Turn on the car. If the check engine light comes on just turn off your car and pull the negative wire to your battery off. Leave it off for about 5 mins. put it back and light should turn off. sorry i couldn't explain it better. Its easier to do it. Its really really easy to put a intake on. Hopefully others can explain it better on this website.:smileysex

yea its easy, just rip out the stock air box, and even the resonator if u want but u might want a lift for easier access, not needed though. where the airbox tube connects to the throttle body, thats where u put that rubber thing. u may want to connect it first before putting the intake pipe on. just so u know it goes over the throttle body, not inside it. then use those big hose clamps and your done!

Well, i got it on with only minor problems.....first off, i noticed that it really wasn't supported by anything....is this regular? also, the tube i had to use to connect the thing from the pipe to the factory sensor had to be kinda run in almost a circe (like a freeway on or off ramp) to connect it....i thought that was strange....also, i had a few left over parts that i wasn't sure what to do with a copy of the same auction is here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1857714147 i don't know what that flat metal bar or the metal bar with the right angle in it is for, nor what i was supposed to do with that little blue cap (not the collar, the little cap like thing). it SEEMS to work fine, and after i tightened the clamp on the intake manifold it kinda raised itself up in midair, but whenever i tap it with my hand it still has some freedom of movement.....does it sound like i did everything alright? is there anything i missed doing? thanks for you guy's help.

Did you check to see if the rubber grommets were tight enough?

ok the sensor thing got me a lil off target. But everything else sounds ok. Now that flat metal bar and the elbow part is for you to hold it down. it usually raises up in mid air thats how come you got the metal strip that lil blue cap i really don't know what it is for but find out from someone. Did you connect the hose????? to the intake manifold??? Get back to me

I think you're talking about the vacuum hose that goes to the crankcase.

Yes, i did install the big polished metal pipe to the intake maniflod, using the blue collar and clamp. Now about that flat metal bar and elbow, i have no idea where they either attach to the intake itself, or the car either one....now what i was talking about with the sensor thing....if you notice on the pic from that auction link, i connected that small blue hose between that little small outlet thing on the side of the metal intake part itself, to the part that i pulled out of the factory intake, which if i'm correct in what i've read leads to a sensor. is everything still sounding kosher? what should i do 'bout those bars?

Those bars you attach them to the car. Then from there you have to put it in a way that if would fit. The sensor part should be on the other side of the hose part.
