95 Integra GSR CEL Code 41

I know this code means Primary Oxygen Sensor Heater but how much would it effect performance? It doesn't seem to effect the driveability of the car and how important is it to have the O2 sensor replaced right away, if it needs it?

If im not mistaken a bad O2 sensor can effect your A/F ratio and in return effect your performance and emissions....
