Nah, i highly doubt you would get jump from other crews. Unless those crews you race against are some wannabe gangster racer. I usually go by myself with my girlfriend. No other cars. Sometimes you meet up with some people you get to know at the runs. A lot of cars there does not represent any crew. I go there but i don't represent my crew. Banner bugs my view.

When I first moved here from Santa Rosa at the end of the summer in 99, I went solo all the time. Then I would just bring like one person with me. I just started roll'n up with crews recently. We were in crews for two years in Santa Rosa, but my team was hella small (RIP... DIFFUSION Racing Team)

Daaaaaaaaaafuuuuuusion!

HAHAHAH LOLOLOL

No one gives me shit in the least. No one really cares if you are in a crew or not, they just care if you race.

rollin solo is better cause it means you are about business not just f'n around. you can also meet a lot of cool people too though.

If they do wager money its probably not going to be done at place and time where they can race and not have 100's of cars and risk the cops. Some heavy hitter domestics i know race for liek $500. The meet up late one nite, race the cars and then go home. The guys who say lets run for money are 90% of the time are just bullshitter.

I used to go to the races all the time when it was just me and my friend. Usually you meet cool people there that you'll see all the time at the races and kind of hang out with them. As long as you're there to just have some good racing fun then you don't have anything to worry about. as far as I know a lot of people only go with like one other car that's usually there best friend or really close to them.

I have rolled out to the races plenty of times alone... I also roll out with my crew, other crews, and random people that i meet. Its a great way to meet new people. I dont care whos out there, you will always see me hop outta my ride at any given race spot and start trying to chop it up with who ever is there. I have my crew, Echelon, small but close nit group of friends. We currently have only 5 members, but all of our members are great friends. In fact we have only rolled out all together once. But we still all stay in touch and let each other know how the last time we went to the runs were. I hate it when i roll out alone and try and start talking to people out there and then they give me attitude or something. In my opinion anyone out there who wants to give you attitude cause they dont know you isnt a racer anyways.

I roll alone sometimes but I've finally hooked up with some people to roll with. The scene has changed a lot though from when I first used to go. Back when the import scene was separate from the domestics I used to go to the import scene because I had a toyota and the wife has an integra. I would get challenged to run and that was it, usually people were like "fucken white boy" and would even ignore me if I tried talking. Since I started going again though people have been a lot cooler and are more open to talk with anybody.

Byron you never asked me too...Just cause I'm leaving doesn't mean I won't be back, but I don't think Daniel likes me though..... :) He doesn't want a Ford around :) Hey what's the deal with my stuff you got on your laptop..I can't wait to see it.. :)

I used to come out with a friend, but lately, she's been ditching me :( so I go solo now and hope to meet somebody I know out there. My sig may say I'm apart of Strictly 5.0, but I'm the only guy in that crew that street races, so no crew to cruise with. I'm just another solo slow stang.

I never realized that there were race crews until i went to the Hot Import Nights and the San Jose runs.
I used to just see the domestics at the local strip. The only way there was any organization was a bunch of them leased a house on the strip and parked their cars in the yard when the police came.
As far as running for money, do you have a car that you're sure of? Trust me, ever since I got this computer, I've been reading about crazy things done to cars that they shouldn't be done to.
Try this one: 1979 Corvette- POS- clean all smog equipment, original tires, all steel, original quadrajet. Basically evrytghing looks stock, the car drops tens.
Here's a rule of thumb- if a person is up and loud about running for money, they're full of it. If you ask to run and they say only for money, back down because they probaly know something you don't

too dangerous! it could fly in pieces around the other cars :) hahah j/k
btw, speaking of that, the distributor of my beater was in flames a few days ago ! I guess that'll teach me to use some flammable cleaner and start the car after :) was funny though :)

Well when I move to the bay area later this year, I'll be rollin to the races solo :) I won't know anyone, so hopefully no one gives me attitude for showing up without a crew. From the way you guys make it sound, going solo is cool though.

we kinda all know each others, and friends of friends, etc so in the long run, it's like a big family :)
