i can't decide which is gonna be an overall better car for performance, daily driving and low maintenace.
-93 civic Si w/ 90kmi, 5spd. (3500.00 USD)
-93 probe GT w/ 89kmi, 5spd. (2100.00 USD)
i have another post about the civic, it needs some work, but overall what do some of you think would be the better racer in the long run... thx

dam that probe is cheap, I would get the probe.
if the probes a V6 i would get it.
also another thing what color are both of these cars cause ive seen some damn ugly colored probes.

the old probes were 2.2L turbos. The V6 wasn't until '94. The 2.2 Turbo has insane potential and can be a 13 second car with just a boost controller, fuel upgrades, and drag radials. The civic cannot. The civic only handles marginally better, but the power advantage the probe has would probably make it faster on a road course.

dont like probes.. so im gonna say Civic.. even tho im a newb.. damn age differences..
civic isnt worth it get the probe, better deal with less rice filling

dont listen to all these civic lovers. Just cuz everyone at your Junior College/Community college drives one doesnt mean there a good investment. Go with the probe

agreed. get the probe. you'll like it better. plus that 1400 bucks you save would buy some pretty sweet mods.

Wait..I'm confused. WHICH Probe is it? Is it a 2.5 GT? If it is then the 2100 dollar price tag is TOO cheap. I'd get it looked by a mechanic. If it is fine though then by that. The US 2.5 (KL03) has a lower compression than the japanese engines (KLKZ)

probe all the way....lol that sounds like some gay porn movie. sorry i'm tired, but yeah get the probe my cousin has a 95 GT and the sucka hauls ass. the moajor thing you gotta do (if the 93 is like the 95) open up it's air intake, that part were the hood forms the top part of the intake hood is extremly restrictive, put some type of CAI, or a ram air to fix that first, then from there the possiblitlies are endless. i still hate that fact the the probe is FWD, i'd buy one soooo fast if it was RWD.

the 93 is nothing like the 95, the 95 was the 2.5 V6, once again, we are talking about the 2.2 Turbo 4 here, why don't people realize that?

Get the probe, it's better I think.
A few weeks ago I saw a pretty cool probe, it was ugly though (Old paint). He was driving beside me and was trying to coax me into racing him. He'd shoot ahead of me and then fall behind, everytime the "PSsssh" of his supercharger was very audible.
He finally gave up on me (I wouldn't race him cause I was taking my girlfriend home, and I don't wanna put her in danger. Plus, that road is loaded with cops. Think before you race.). He found a Mustang GT though and he kept up with him pretty good, I bet I could have wasted him though. ;) :p

The 2.5 has been in the MX6/Probe bodies since 93. If it is a 93 Probe GT then it is a 2.5 engine. Hence why I wonder why the car is so dirt cheap.....
