Wassup guys? I'm looking to replace the stock system I got in my civic. I went to a local shop and they tossed out so much info I came out more confused than I was, when I went in. With so many companies making parts I need help making a decent system for my car.
I got around 650 to spend right now but will get around 450 more next week. Plz help me out. I wanna replace as much as I can with better equipment. The more I read in forums the worse im getting messed up. Thankz

everyone forgot the deck, that is quite possibly the biggest thing ever! in a car audio system. I upgraded my stock deck to a crappy sony CDX4250, and the quality level increased, i mean totally! and this deck is so OLD! Put your firft 250 or so into a good deck. Then replace the stock speakers inside your car that should run about 200, if you can save yourself some time and some hassle and have them install it if its cheap, alot of places dont overcharge you, get some good quality mid and highs, and your car with a good deck should sound like a syphony on the aftermarket gear. now pick up an amp shouldnt run you more then 200 to power all of 4 speakers inside your car. SO right there thats about 650 good enough? After that look into your subwoofers. THe subwoofer should be run on a seperate amp to avoid any later complications. Picking up a subwoofer is going to be a hard decision, with money, and quality. High end subwoofers will run you 700+ but decent low end subs will run you 100+ a piece, such as SONY RF... look into the subwoofers before you do anything else, ask someone else who has a system and how they like it and their setups. Good luck with it! Oh yeah if you know anyone thatn works at an electronics chain store BUG THEM TO DEATH! because if your able to use their discount tis well worth it. Take em out to dinner afterwards.
