GSR vs Stang GT

Well, here we go:

I was driving on Dyer towards Union City Blvd when this drop-top ORANGE Mustang GT with a full body kit rolls up next to me, glances over and downshifts. He's stopped at the next light and I pull up next to him. Never backing down from having some fun, I blip the throttle back at him. Light turns green and we both launch - we're dead even through 1st gear but as I grab 2nd, he jumps a bumper length ahead. Waiting for the red in 2nd, I try to grab 3rd and DOH!!!! I fuggin' mis-shift and he takes off...Damn. He flashes his hazards and I flash mine and we both go our separate ways. Well, I wonder if I would've caught him at the top end. Probably not, but I think it still would've been close....

Yeah..he's always rollin' around Union Landing. It's funny cuz everytime I see him around, he always throws a rev or tries to start shit. I think he's Mexican and he's always rollin' around with a group of Asians and I think his girl is Asian too. Not sure what he has under the hood, but his car is rollin' on the stock 17s with the stock exhaust tips as well. Hopefully, I'll see that fool rollin around so I can take another crack at him....

I remember the first time I saw him: I was on 880 and he pulled up next to me with his girl in his ride. I looked over and was impressed cuz his stang looked pretty different with that full kit. Anyways, I gave him a "thumbs up" but he just nodded back at me. Then, he just gave it a rev and downshifted and cut out...

i was just driving on 880 ... going towards newpark mall from san leandro..when i past union landing exit i saw a lowered orange mustang with the ugliest body kit i seen and with chrome 15 0r 16 inch rims...all of a sudden he started revving and putting his thumb down on me..so i down shifted....and left ..he caught up and started tail gating me like crazy.....all of a sudden we hit a dip ..and his hood popped open and it was only the latch that was holding it down...he started serverin....for some stupid reason he had his girlfriend hold his steering wheel while he stuck half his body out of his car and try to close the hood...he couldn't get it to close... somehow he servered and almost hit the center divider lane goin about 70....finaly he gave up and started revving again showing off to his girlfriend....this shit ticked me off...he started throwing signs and shit..i guess he was embarassed that his hood popped up and he couldn't get it to close...what a dumb fuck

Not to pick on you in particular but how come I'm always reading about import (particulary Honda guys) "mis-shifting"? I see this a lot at the runs also, two Integra's racing over and over because they both keep "mis-shifting". Are Honda's really that hard to shift? I've never seen a muscle car guy have this happen. Maybe someone can explain?

well honda's shifters are probably the best in the business. I rarely miss shift, but it's probably because they trying to catch the redline @ 8k RPM.

that guy is a fuckin nimrod. i was in fremont in my car loaded with friends and getting ready to exit at automall/durham off of 880. he cuts me off while driving with no lights on and me with my brake slush barely slow down in time. he would have had 5 teenagers in his back seat or next to him if he had been anymore of a dipshit. driving at night with no lights on doin 100+ in traffic and cutting off a loaded car with crappy brakes is a no no. next time i see him, hes gonna get a piece of my mind. fucker.

AHAHAHAH does everybody know this dood or wha?? I guess my buddy knows him or whatever and we see him drive by union landing this one night, and so my friend asked him if he wanted to race my car.. (i have a 2000 GT with basic bolt ons)..for some reason he gets all juiced and asks for me to follow.. im tninking he has a supercharger or major engine work done to his car .. so anyways we end up at a stoplight, ..light turns green and i get a pretty good launch, i look to the side and im like wtf?!?!??!? he didnt even try! he yells out the window follow me! AND THIS FOOL TAKES ME ON THE FREEWAY WITH A PRETTY GOOD AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC! right when we get on he flashes his hazards and starts weaving in and out of lanes like hes getting chased by the cops...ok i admit this guy has handles but theres no way im risking the lives of my boy in the car and everybody else on the freeway.. turns out the reason he didnt wanna reace from a stop is because i hear his cars pretty much bone stock and he wanted to race on the freeway because he he drives like a nutt! but anyways i see him a few days later on the road and he just gave me the nod and i did the same

Honda trannys suck. I have a 2000 Civic. I have missed 3rd gear too. But I have never missed 3rd in my stang. Honda should put a better tranny in their cars. They get good gas milage though.

T-5 with a Hurst Shifter...You miss third all god damn day. Or at least I do. It dont matter if it's hard or regular driving, I miss third at least twice a day.

Well...I just moved to the Fremont area and there are A LOT of people with the same behavior at Union Landing...lots of imports and domestics reving at each other (when there are no cops around)....Last weekend there were a bunch of cars following behind me..and asking me to rev(or to pop the hood) and I was just trying to find a parking space while my girlfriend was yelling at me to "you better not rev back". Regardless I guess they like my car:bow: , but there was lots of stupid activity going on when the movie people got out...bunch of people racing down 880 and and driving like maniacs...sad to say...just an observation...

She was impressed to see all the people showing off especially in that little driveway in front of Century 25. What time is this guy there so I can show up in my white 96 saleen. I went there last night to see the movies. The place was crowded, people had attitudes, people still revved...I'd say all show and no go for the most part..nothing really wrong with that...but if you want to show that cool looking wing or bodykit...I'd say do it in the daytime where people can actually see it...

its weird we live in such a huge over populated area but it is still quite a small world. that guy in the orange kitted mustang is lame. infact i think i am going to create a lame list of the people i run into on the streets around here. ill have to save it for the really interesting ones however, because the kids with one windshield washer led and two different colored neons inside the late 80's honda accord that mom kicked down are not worthy. and yeah those bikers that kick it at union landing are really lame. hahaha they are just posers with alot of money to spend on flashy gear.(which means they still have a very high chance of being complete losers considering the most expensive sport bikes aside from ducatis and such are usually never more than the cheapest econo car on the market) and they never have girls with them, instead they have to get off on making comments when i walk by with the hot young girl i decide to take out to the movies that evening. haha you'd think with a flashy ass sport bike they'd at least be able to get a couple girls to hang out but no such luck...EVER. because once again they are posers, real riders dont hang out in front of star bucks all night HAHAHAHAHAHHA.

Well, I'm living in CT right now but when I left, I didn't hear of any runs in UC. Closest thing I heard about was in Oakland, but the whole "Sideshow" thang probably raised too much heat out there for there to be any illegal races...

I'm coming down for Christmas break and I'm gonna head out to Union Landing - I wonder if that fool in the GT is still out there. OH...and the bikers, I know what you all mean. They should go out riding or something and give other people a chance to sit down and drink their Mocha Lattes in peace...
