To my knowledge, in CA, dismissable mechanical violations ("Fix-it's") never count as a moving violation point on your record.

that's good to here. I think I've gotten like 4 of them fer little things. HEy sjpopo...do cops look for specific types of cars. I've never goten a speeding ticket or anything like that. But I keep getting a ticket for like a brake light out when I have like four other ones working, no front plate, A CRACK IN MY REAR LENSE. I don't get it. It's really fustrating to me to keep having to get my tickets signed off when I don't even have to fix anything. I jsut show a cop my car and he signs it off. This has happened to me over 6 times. Is it because my car is red or something? Just tell me what you think about all this. I'm sure this happens to a lot of people who drive sports cars.
Thank you for all the information you've been giving on this site. I admire the fact that you take the time to do it and I'm sure others appreciate it as well also.

I don't know why you get pulled over so often. Maybe it's bad luck, maybe you have modified your car to an extent that it stands out so much that officers see the broken lens. I bet if you fix the stupid lens, you'll stop getting pulled over for it.

man I wish I wasn't as lazy when it comes to fixing my car rather then making go faster. I'll jump at the chance to make it look better or go faster. Anyway...thanks fer the info sjpopo. I'll try to be more discrete from now on.

the more visible your car (red) the easier target it is. just food for thought.
