I think they're pieces of crap that are slow, noisy, have no aftermarket, ugly and that one is priced $2000 too high.

I think by '91 the Impulse was a regular FWD econo car and not the sweet turbo RWD versions of previous years. The FWD Impulse is identical to the Geo Storm, and is not an exceptional car, but should be pretty reliable and worth $3600 Canadian.

if you're asking what it is, have you seen a Geo Storm? it's the same thing but with Isuzu on the front instead of that globe thing and IMPULSE on the back instead of STORM.

Just telling you to get the Z24, only because they are good long lasting cars, if you dont beat the piss out of them, they look nice, and get decent gas mileage while having some performance, I had one, it was a nice car.

There are a few things you look for and ask when buying a car. Ask if it has a clean title, ask who the previous owner was, find out how many owners there has been, ask for any or all work records, make sure emissions is up to par, check for any fluids under the car. If you test drive it, listen for any noises, make sure the steering is tight, check to make sure the oil pressure is not too low, make sure no warning lights come on. Check the interior for rips, stains, smells, weird wires all over, check the body for dents, rust, look inside the engine too, make sure it isn't all rusty and whatnot, it may be dirty, but theres a difference between dirty, and beat up. Check the underbody for any rust, and look at the exhaust. Now, this may seem like a lot, but when you buy a used car, and it comes with a lot of problems, it may not be worth it getting the car. And if something seems fishy with the car, it probably is.

Just giving you some advice from what I learned, I've bought a few used cars before, and each time you buy one, you learn new things on what to look for in a car.
