dumbass friend wants to know if this is a driect swap cuz he thinks he can just change the head and he wont listen to me
ima slap him soon !
89 crx to bseries swap...direct fit?
any fabrication or anythinglike that needed for the tranny and shift links

you need shift linkage, cable b series tranny, motor mounts...3 of them, wiring needs to be redone or replaced, axles, you can modify the linkage though.

If its a B16 you would need to put a fat dent in the firewall area to fit the alternator.
B18C1 and your asking for trouble.

B16=do it yourself job,2-3 days,just make sure that you have all the parts nessesary.
B18=dont even try it. welding is needed and mods to the engine bay. just take it to a shop

it depends on what trim crx your dropping it in. hfs need dx or si hubs. All the other trim levels besides si need diff. engine harness or conversion harness that plugs into stock harness. All trims need rewelded or hasport shift linkage and hasport or stock rewelded mounts.
also b18s fit just like b16s except the gsr's valve cover touches the hood.

HF, and SI will work well... DX is the one to watch out for.

im still laughing at that one
btw, any b series motor you put in a crx will yeild the pounding of the driver side, inside fender, to clear the altenator.
