anyone have experience working with cf cloth? was it difficult/easy? what are some basic guidelines? what are some things to look out for? i'm going to buy some to play with/practice on, whats a good place to buy? besides ebay whats a good cheap place? i know tap plastic has some right?
Check out Aircraft Spruce (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/index.php). They have everything you need - cloth, resin, books and videos on how to do CF work, the whole thing. Be sure to order their free catalog, too. It's hours of entertainment all by itself.

Thats cool stuff! ;[
I was just gonna post that. In middle school, my shop teacher owned a Cessna and he always had an Aircraft Spruce catalog laying around. Definitely get the video first, to see if it's even something you'd want to do on your own.

i'd suggest you buy some fiberglass and play with it before you move up to CF...the tecniques are just about the same, but 'glass is alot cheaper since you're just using it for practice.....

im thinking of covering some painted dash pieces in CF... looks like it would be very hard to cover and have the fibers aligned correctly... im going to try covering some pieces and hopefully i can use CF to make some bars for my mtn bike.

I was wondering. $70 bucks for a fiberglass kit? is this worth it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2038612628
I just ordered the free catalogues from aircraftspruce.com. You guys recommend any good 101 books or videos from them? Any tips on using fiberglass will be greatly appreciated.. Thanks
