Hey sac racer, another rider hit, bad news. Did you exchange insurance with the person that hit you? If so, they are more than likely at fault, that usually is the case when someone hits you from the rear. If so, they should cover everything for you, and you should have to pay no deductible. Check out the forum about Mikes accident too.

Unfortunately I know of no place that sells new gsxr parts at anything below retail, the gsxr being a new bike and all. But, the best place I can recommend is Ebay. Another online shop is www.deerhorncycles.com.
They sell used parts for fair prices. They didn't have any plastics for a 01 gsxr600, but they do have some lowers for the 00-01 gsxr750. Im not 100% sure, but I think they mount up with the 600 as well. You would know better than me. But from what I understand they are almost identical.

Sorry about the bad news.

yeah, the 750 lowers match up (along with everything but the motor), but i need them already painted blue/white. thanks for the attempt, but they dont have it. the damage isnt bad, its just that i want my new bike to look new again. the damage makes me feel like i can never keep something nice for that long, and it is annoying the shit out of me. well, looks like ill lose another 1k tryin to return it to new. o well. thanks mrhello for tryin

Try airtech.

http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/

00-01 GSXR 600/750/1000
Right Lower $159.08
Left Lower $159.08

I got my 1/4 fairing from them, seems to be good quality.
Ruff Ryders Cycles in Santa Clara could paint and mount them for you.

As Wolf implied, you can get them painted. In fact, you can more than likely have them repainted and get new decals for well under $1000. But if you would rather wait to have clean OEM, just keep a tab on Ebay. There are good chances are that you will find a set of lowers on there for under $500. My friend bought a WHOLE set of cherry r6 plastics for 1000$ from Ebay, and I have seen many other sets for bikes in the same range or less. Soon enough you will see lots of OEM sets for sale as club racers start converting the new gsxr600 to a track only ride. That and alot of bikes getting damaged and the owners selling of the left overs and insurance paid for parts.

dude, you rock!!! i just sent an email to try and get an idea on repair costs, so i should know tomorrow. how much do you think they'll charge to repaint one side and fix a samll crack on the other (and repaint)? o yeah it would also need new decals. thanks for helpin out bro. this has been very frustrating, and its good to have a fellow rider help out.

For just the lowers getting painted and minor fixing (filling the scratches and plastic welding the crack), I would say not more than 150$, being that I had my entire bike painted for $425, that was tail, seat cowl, tank, upper, lowers and fender in a 3 stage with pearl.I know of a guy near sac who does cycles for a real good price. Let me know if you want his number.
What will probably cost more is the decals, OEM stickers are crazy expensive.

Screw the OEM stickers... get the whole thing painted a nice deep blue, throw a pair of SRO stickers on the side fairings, and seal em in with a couple layers of clearcoat. The SRO Gixxer Special Edition.

or not. :D

hehe, nah, not my style. yeah, i would like that number for the guy here in sac. i would rather have it done in town, but i need a QUALITY job done. i want that bad boy to look just like stock; are they capable of this. dude from ruff ryders gave me a rough quote of about 1k, but said it might be lower if he sees it. i dont really have the time right now to go to the bay, and i can get factory ones for 1100. i think i can get my decals done, but i need the stock colors, so it might be hard. the OEM ones run like 50 bucks each piece!!!!!! well, shoot me that number, and let me know if they can spray me a nice coat. thanks for all the help.

I saw my friends bike when he got it painted by him and it was pretty good. You could definately put stickers on it, and it would look OEM.
I asked my friend for the number of the guy, but he could not find it. He said to call this bike shop near Sac and tell them you wanted your bike painted and they can give you the number of the local guy named Theodore I think. The shops number is 530-753-3466.Good luck.
