Suzuki Hayabusa Race Bike?

Hey, I've seen and read about a Suzuki Hayabusa racebike (not a dragracing one, but roadracing like the GSXR 600 & 750), but I don't remember any of the details. What division does the Hayabusa compete in? What about the TL 1000R?

The TL is way too heavy for a racer compared to a Gixxer.

There was an article in Superbike or Performance Bikes that showed one from Japan, when they first came out. Gawd, it was basically a GSXR-750 with the Hayabusa motor and tranny. It would take a sick motherfucker to ride that thing, it'd have to wheelie in top gear!
Anyways, I guess it would have to run in the Formula Extreme class in AMA. But I don't know enough about the Brittish Superbike series to know if they even have a class for it.
