How old?

Simple question how old do you have to be to get a motorcycle license, its 16 and a half right?
You need to have your drivers license for 6 months I think is this right?

I thought it was 15.5 for the MC learners permit.

i think it is 15.5 for a permit, then you can't have a passenger, go on the freeway or ride during dark. then to get your liscense(which you can get at 16)ther is no waiting period, unless your too young, if you are under 21 you must take a chp approved saftey class. if you are over 21 you can just take the skill test @ DMV. i went to concord highschool, through CYCLE LOYD'S, 1-800-CC-RIDER. good class, lots of good info and very step by step and informative hands on training.

I did cycle lloyds at Concord too. I hella thought I was gonna fail that final riding section. Damn, what good is having a class M1 if you can't afford a bike?! Got the helmet and gloves still though, but sold my bikes last year (75 Yahama Enduro 250 & 74 Honda CB500)
