Start off, I own a 2008 FZ600 with K&N, airbox mod, pc3 chip, and Two bro exhaust.
I wish I could make it to the " local" strip but its three hours away. I do not bench race but some friends have seen mid to high 11's stock on this detuned R6 motor for more torque and livable midrange power.

Maybe i am just being biase on bikes loving the 10,000+ rpm scream of a inline four cylinder.
BUT I cannot stand those dumb retarded harley cruiser noises. All I can think of is rabble rabble rabble, fart fart fart. And alot of them think that just because they spent alot of money on their "hog" makes it the fastest thing ever. My boss has a custom bulldog pitbull mortorcycle he says he spent upwards on 20,000$ for. For what? It is a 1300cc 113 horsepower "beast". Ok rabble rabble rabble, fart fart fart. Bought mine for 9000$ stock factory is 97 spent about 1000$ to get all of those ponies to the pavement lol.
The noises they make are just uncalled for, having raced a few they are garbage. But to each his own.

Lol please I want some guy on here running a sprayed cruiser. I could sure use his input on making a proper left turn.

Overpriced and underpowered
Lol let the war begin!

Lol at you saying your 600 has torque and midrange power, then proceeding to bash H-D. Don't have it anymore, but I'd bet my old V-Rod would have hung even with your bike down the 1320.

But Harleys aren't made for speed. Hence the name cruiser. Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki...while more known for their sportbikes...also make cruisers. Some guys that buy a Yamaha V-Star put the loud obnoxious exhaust on too. You just don't see nearly as many because most folks that wanna buy a cruiser will just go with H-D since that's what they've been doing for almost 110 years. Metric cruisers might be more reliable...but there's just something missing from the experience that you just gotta ride a Harley to know.

You're clowning Harleys and YOU ARE STILL RIDING "ROOKIE" BIKES?

Lol a rookie bike. Yeah and its a great one at that. would you say that if I rode a fz1?

Or do you think that if your not leaning over the gas tank in back breaking agony that I am not riding a advanced bike?

This bike has done everything I've asked it to and I have pulled 750's on a 1/8. Or do I need a turbo busa to satisfy me? No.
harleys are outdated awful designs that need a major update.

If I had the money it wouldn't be a rookie bike even tho it is not recommended that beginners ride it.

Google Fz6N supercharged streetfighter.
200bhp w/240bhp nitrous.

Its a versitile shit kicker that on the twisties would suprise ya.

Rubber side down!

Sorry byPulled 750's I meant pulled on

How long you been riding? I've got over 20 years. And in all the time I've been into bikes, a bike like yours is pretty much a beginner bike.

Way back then, Yamaha's version was called the Seca II. Half fairing sport standard with a middleweight motor...it's a tried a true formula. There have been plenty over the years. The most prolific has easily been the Suzuki SV650. But no mistakes about it, when noobs ask seasoned riders "what should I get for my first bike" those are the kind of bikes the we suggest.

Saying Harleys are outdated and awful shows true ignorance. They still have the biggest market share, so obviously they're still doing something right. They don't need monocoque aluminum frames, radial mount brakes, and MotoGP derived engine internals...to just cruise along.

And suggesting a bike with motogp internals that can double the speedlimit and very quickly to a beginner with twenty years experiance isn't ignorance? I have rode harleys and yes are very awful for the riding I like and sound terrible. I don't keep up to date but are they still running air cooled? I mean c'mon.

Just because I don't have 20 yrs because I can't I would be three doesn't mean I am a know not.

But love the forum. Just thought id post something on here since the last time someone did was over a year ago. Lol

So what your saying is...That Harleys and the lifestyle is NOT your cup of tea.

Of course noobs can kill themselves on even a "beginner" bike if they're stupid enough. But we know if we suggest a "girl" bike like a Ninja 250, the kids will just be like "nah that's too slow, you don't know what's fun...I'll just get a GSXR750" and think that's the beginner bike since they didn't get the GSXR1000. It's not ignorance to suggest a SV650 or FZ6 to a kid. It's just a real world expectation of what they'd actually get.

So a H-D rides and sounds awful for your tastes? Fine. But plenty of people out don't want to drag race 750s in the 1/8th or whatever you do on that FZ6 of yours. They just want to take in the scenery. You thinking that H-D is trash just because you don't like them is maximum ignorance. And yes, all but the VR family is still air cooled, but look what happens when they try to change the formula. The V-Rod is everything people like you think all Harleys should have evolved to. High tech engine and frame, lots of power, and in the Street Rod...high lean angles. And how has this gone over? They barely sell at all. Matter of fact, the best "performing" version, the Street Rod with its USD fork and rear set pegs, got discontinued because hardly anyone bought the damn thing. So Harley will stick with what works and continue to give their customers what they demand. Simple air cooled cruisers. If some kids who ride sportbikes think their stuff is no good, they don't care. That's when Willie G. Davidson comes out and just points to the scoreboard of motorcycle sales to tell you that your opinion is not in the majority.

Hey bro, different strokes for different folks, but may I add that that crotch rocket riders get too obnoxious and way too flamboyant at times as well...

Tell me about it. I am all for being safe and wearing gear but i will not dress up as a power ranger everywhere i go. Maybe i need to chaps, a leather jacket with those strings on them, and a bandana around my neck. its definitely stunning!

Holy crap... theres a bike for everything and there is a correct way to ride different bikes. Lets just say i have put a hurting on some gixxers and cbr's on my 84 xt600 in the curves, and also put a hurting on some built bikes on the straights on a gl1800 complete with abs and an airbag. so yea, why the bashing?
