jsut looking for some advice i have a gsx eclipse and i was out with my friends cruising around and one of my friends had a video camera and told me to launch up my car well he started recording but we didnt see it there was a cop in the alley he came flying out and pulled me over he said the reason he pulled me over was that i was sitting spinning my back tires which is a joke then the next cop pulls up and is like yea i heard them spinning there tires and i was a block away so i jsut didnt argue just took my ticket then went to my attorney and asked what the best thing to do would be he says go to court ask to see the police report if one was filed and see if there is anyhting in it about spinning my tires if so show the court the paperwork saying my car is awd and that the tires dont spin but i was jsut wondering if you guys had any other advice or if any of you have ever been in this position thanks for the space

i was told exhibition of speed and speed contest are the same thing. spinning your tires is just one of the things that counts as exhibition of speed. if he saw you launch your car and race it then your probubly still guilty. Go to court and tell the judge you were making an educational video for school or something.

thnaks for the advice but where i was on a public street dont knwo what he will say so i am hoping the cop wrote in his report that i was spinning my tire casue if he did theni can at least prove i wasnt

I GOT HE SAME THING BUT I GOT RECKLESS DRING TOO. I PEAL OUT ON MY SCHOOLS PARKING LOT I LAD A 30FT BLACK LINE. I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE PARKING LOT BECAUSE THERE WAS OTHER CARS IN FORNT OF ME SO FUCK THEY SAID PULL OVER AND GET OUT OF THE CAR. SINCE I DID IT AT SCHOOL I GOT 2 SATURDAY SCHOOL FOR IT AND DOES ANY ONE NOW THAT I CAN DO TO GET OUT OF THE RECKLESS DRIVNG CUZ ALL I DID WAS PEAL OUT BUT DAM WILL I LOST MY RIGHT TO DRIVE FOR EXBH. OF SPEED AND RECKLESS DRIVING??? THAT IS IT GOING TO COST ME TOO????

u got screwed what a bitch cop to give you a ticket for both I'm sorry to say but those are huge both are misdemeanors and 2pts on record just for spinning tires?
what a dick thats all I got to say.

But anyways either way your guilty but get a lawyer because I'm pretty sure the law says you cannot be found guilty twice for the same crime or something like that.

and wreckless driving and exhibition of speed are the same thing when it comes to spinning tires.

i have a story relating to this kinda

i was driving down a 45 street doing about 40 and this cop kept getting on my ass, i would speed up, slow down, speed up, he would still be on my ass. We hit a red light. And it turned green and i just punched it to 35, cause the cop was pissing me off. He immediately flipped on his lights. He walked up to me and i handed him my paper work. And asked what i got pulled over for. :confused: He just laughed and said he had a recorder under his bumper and he heard me spin my tires. And he had the license plate # of the car next to me and would call them in as a witness. WTF???? Well By now i was out of the car talking to the officers. I said Mr. Officer, this is my fight against you saying i spun my tires. I told him to walk up and get a good look at my tires. He did. I then started to explain to him how on the street they are called "cheater slicks". And how it's nearly impossible to break them loose. And the only time i can break them loose is on the bottle at the track in the water box. Then i explained to him how i had no bottle and the ground was extremely hot and there was no way i could break them loose in those conditions. I mean my car has a little over 200 HP, it's impossible. He then felt like an idiot walked back to his car, handed me my paperwork; and took off :D

I have a ?, I believe you state you guys are carrying a AUDIO/VISUAL device, Well you got the tickets for spinning the tires not launching the car. If your Camcorder has AUDIO have the JUDGE listen to the tape to see if the statments by the officers are correct.. "The one officer said he heard me spin my tires from a block away." It would leave me to believe that the Camera would have picked up the tires spinning if it wasw that loud... And you will not have to worry about them trying to site you for launching your car due to that was not the original Citation.... The Judge would shoot it down as a form of retaliation.... You have a case if the camera picks up sound and you will win this...

YOu said you didnt see the cop at first... Does that mean you wouldnt have seen a kid on a bike???, or a woman crossing the street??? Pleas think about this
