Project car question

Ive been looking around at for a car to get around in and also when i find a racer battle it out. Right now im in a Toyota Paseo but im looking for a new car since im given this one to my sister. Would a Pontiac Grand Prix/Am be a good car to work on to race? any ideas for other cars would be greatly welcomed. my other problem is that im tryin to keep the budget ubder 4K for the initial purchase of the car. Thank you.

Uh yeah. A grand prix definitely isnt were to start at. If you want a pontiac start with a GTO. If not find something in a different make.

i dont necessarily want a pontiac but like i said im trying to stay under 4k.

If you do your research correctly, you will find your car at your price of 4000 dollars...

4000 dollars is a good down payment on used cars, you would be surprised on how car dealers are willing to do business nowadays...

Or... Save your money so you can get what you really want and tell your sister, "too bad I need the car."

P.S. there is no prize for beating a RICER RACER, IT IS A REQUIREMENT TO BEAT A RICER...

alright. what kind of car do you recommend then? i would like to either go to a v6 or stay at a 4 banger. i did research on the Paseo and i found that it has some potential as far as looks but under the hood i couldnt find to much

aalright lol thanks. ive been doin research on the fords and although i love the trucks and that parts are inexpensive since they are domestic, ive seen and heard that ill have a lot of minor problems, i havent done much research on the nissans or hondas though

ford mustang (fox, notch, 5.0 V8 req'd), mazda/ford mx6/323/probe (standard transmission only - the turbo'd ones ... for probe/mx6 the 2.2, for the 323 there's lots of 2.5 V6 KL- swaps out there, plus the 2.2 turbos). Mazdaspeed protege (2.0L turbo, standard transmission only), mazda 3 (standard transmission only), gm f-body v8's, gm g-body 3.8 buick v6 turbo'd, firebird TTA (turbo trans am) - same 3.8 as the g-body, older s/c GTP's (GM), and the list just goes on and on. I see cars like the ones I listed going cheap all the time around here, and nation-wide, just a matter of finding one locally that is in good shape, and then beating every other auto enthusiast to it. I'd tell your sister she has to wait until you find another car, just take your time. After all, you have a car now, so you aren't in any kind of a rush.

i got a 97 grand prix gtp supercharged and it is a beast. ive been in many races and havnt got beat yet. personally i think it looks way nicer then the mustangs and performs better.

I don't like Mustangs in particular just because it is a Honda thing, but I will say however that all 4 of those do look pretty nice. PONTIAC IS A CRAP COMPANY. Your GTP supercharged paper weight is stock from the factory like that. NO IT IS NOT FAST. By the way I don't know if you noticed but your bumper is cracked which makes the rest of your car look like crushed SHIT!!!
