Hi there from Seattle!
Found the site on a random search.
Not new the street racing "scene"

a little about me-->
I'm 21
Female but my friends joke i'm more one of the guys.
my favorite color is green
I suck at spelling
my home away from home is my garage.
I'm proud to admit i'm a recovering ricer :P

past cars-->
91 Toyota Corolla (gotta love your first car)
88 CRX SI (the most ghetto car i've ever own'd. 2 motor swaps and a transmission later i sold it)
92 Honda Civic 4doh (stolen, recovered, sold)

my current rides-->
(avatar photo)
2002 Mustang GT
only mod done so far is lowered on springs since i've only had the car 6 months
She'll be garaged in the next couple weeks for winter and then me and the mad scientist can get at it.
94 Benzy c220
picked it up a grand after some kid wrecked it in the snow
replaced the bent rear tie rod
its my yucky weather ride :)

my project!-->
90 CRX SI
prior owner blew the motor and it was given to me for my birthday
can you say FAB FAB FAB?
my plan is to convert it into a RWD drag car when i'm done with it.

I always find it awesome when guys are accepting of girls in this hobby. You wouldnt believe the horror stories I have of guys thinking I dont know the differance between the lug nut and wheel stud lol

I'm always open to suggestions as well!

that always makes me laugh....as most guys today have little knowledge of cars.

blah blah, dont they make kits for these swaps?? i know i have seen them for focus hatches to do a v8 rwd swaps. i thought i read somewhere about them actually being a fairly easy swap. i may be totally wrong though. lol

i have not seen one...i remember reading about one built for the $2000.00 challenge that "grassroots motorsports" does....

i live about 1 mile from the guy that does the RWD swaps for the Ford Focus. its called Kugel Components...and from time to time there are some crazy Focus(Focii) running around town....

like i said RWD crx is the goal. havent done much looking into it at this point though.
to my knowledge they dont make a kit to do this. I've seen one civic hatch that they converted to RWD but other then that i think i'm going to be pretty much on my own.

as far as skills go i've done my fair share of motor swaps and general knowledge as far as that goes. I'm new to welding so my skills there lack greatly, however the boyfriend who would be helping me along the way is a great welder and a very patient teacher.

goals for the build isnt power. goals are to expand my knowledge of cars and do something unique. This is a fun project and hp goals will come AFTER the build :)

Welcome to SRO!!!

A friend of mine works for Honda (in Ohio) and at their shop, they have a team that built a RWD civic. Turbo/Nitrous NSX engine, something like 1500hp, RWD on stupid-large slicks. I can't remember what they used to fab the driveshaft (make the mold) but it was a very expensive project (obviously ... 1500hp lol).

And for those who would call "BS", here's some pics of the "slow" car (11-second RWD, can't remember what motor), and the "fast" car (9-flat), attatched below.

with as light as the car is and building it for the strip i was planning more on a front engine build.
but i know there are pros and cons to both :)
