I've been down here in Tucson for a bit now, and I finally went out and checked out the scene last night...I raced a twin turbo eclipse that was pretty quick..I got him by about 2 cars, and another mustang that I beat...

Out of no where comes a pretty sick looking, right drive, import...Called a Soarer....Huge turbo..What is it? What's it turn? Any info?

hmmm.. if I bring a Toyota Soarer over here and register it as a SC300, would they let me?

I heard some shop got a lot of trouble for bringing over Silivia S15 and calling it a 240SX.

Check out the current sport compact car. In the ultimate street car challange listings they have a twin turbo laser. I personally wouldn't do it, but it is pretty cool to see.

didn't know there was a way to twin turbo the lasers, talons or eclipses. News to me. But if it can handle it then thats cool too.

time for class...soarer=sc300...as in the "lexus coupe" everyone knows it as..oh yeah if ya lookin for a project car..it would be a great one..since the car has the same amount of room in the engine bay as a supra..u can fit a 3.0L TT in it :) but then again everyone knows swaps are for hondas ;)

hehehe take care greg

the soarer (sc300) uses the same engine as the non-turbo MKIV. they have turbo kits for the NA supra engines, so i imagine that they would work in the SC300

That guy posts over at Supraforums.com. Has pics of his ride up also. His is also a true Soarer, being he is in the air force and was stationed in Japan, they allowed him to bring the car back to the US. As Karla said, the SC300/400 does have enough room for the Supras 3.0liter twin turbo(2JZ-GTE). FYI the Supra was based off the Soarer chasis. The Supras engine, 6 speed, and rear end would all fit in SC300/400. How ever the JDM Soarer has a 2.5liter twin turbo(1JZ-GTE) rated at 280ps..Chaser also has this engine..damn I wish they would bring that over. This car makes a very nice sleeper. Next time you see this guy, ask to check out his engine, heard he just got a nice fat single turbo upgrade to go along with his nice fat intercooler.

Gonzo- I ran into him cruisin around the other night. Had a huge turbo on it. We talked for a bit. If you know how I could get a hold of him, or where I could email him, I'd like to see what's up with the scene out here. I've got another 3 weeks till I'm done with my rehab, and I'm getting bored.

Here in japan, I get to race 1JZ powered toyotas a lot. It is a challenge usually, because those things make a lot of power with just bolt ons. I usually beat them by a little, but sometimes they will waste me.

My buddies wife has a Soarer TT, I drove it, and it was very impressive. Even for an automatic it had a lot of torque.

I posted a story here recently called "180sx SR20DET VS Chaser tourer V"

Thats a turbo chaser I race recently.

ah yes the Soarer.....my brother drives one,
except it's the SC300 over here.

I believe it is the same engine as the MKIV Supra, so parts shouldn't be hard to find right?
